Purpose of the position
The responsibility main role of the distributor-doser is to respond to calls from customers who place an order for concrete and to prepare the mix so that the customer receives the product requested, on time. agreed.
Responsibilities
Order management
Receives calls from customers who want to order concrete;
Enters relevant data into the order management system;
Advise, if necessary, the client on the appropriate type of concrete; taking into account the use he wants to make of it and the quantity ordered;
Transfers the customer to the sales manager when the price of the order cannot be established at from the price list provided to it;
Receives and takes the necessary measures to resolve customer complaints and refers situations that he cannot resolve to the his immediate superior
Dosage and distribution
Operates the dosing system used to preparation of customers’ concrete mix;
Plans the daily work schedule: loading schedule (according to the collective agreement) and delivery schedule
Assigns the trucks used to delivery of the concrete according to the established sequence and ensuring compliance with the application of the collective agreement;
Loads the concrete into the mixers;
Communicate with other factories or external suppliers to obtain trucks, or to fulfill an order, as needed;
Is responsible for maintaining an adequate level of material inventory and places orders when necessary;
Ensures trucks meet cleanliness requirements ;
Plant Maintenance
Inspects the plant daily with the maintenance manager;
Agrees with the maintenance manager for maintenance or repair work to be carried out. Execute on factory equipment based on urgency of repairs, schedule of orders to order. deliver and availability the material required;
Makes the request for the necessary equipment to carry out the repair work.
Performs any other task requested by his immediate superior or required by his functions.
Competency profile
Secondary V diploma (DES)
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience having developed a good knowledge of concrete and/or distribution (an asset)
Knowledge of the field of construction and geography of the Estrie and Mont&érégie regions (asset)
Driving license – class 3 (desirable)
Basic English conversation (required or desirable depending on factory)
